Backup, Disaster Recovery, & Business Continuity

A disaster or disruptive event can occur in several forms such as a natural disaster, cyber threat, or caused by human (employee) action or error.  These disasters can occur anytime without warning – power outage, a server virus, ransomware, or a natural disaster.  Disaster recovery (DR) is an organization’s ability to restore access and functionality to IT infrastructure following such a disaster.  In today’s world, it is very important that an organization has a reliable and tested plan to recover from such disasters.  In many cases, the DR plan involves having regular secure backups in place and access to this backup so that you can recover the data and IT systems within an acceptable timeframe so that you can continue focusing on your core business.
